Florin Prunea is the Head of IT @ FIRSTBANK, part of the J.C.Flowers – a private equity leader that acquired Piraeus Bank Romania in 2018.

Previously – he has worked last 20 years as an IT Manager for LIBRA BANK, EMPORIKI BANK and CREDIT AGRICOLE ROMANIA being in charge with Internet Banking/Mobile Banking implementations, Core Banking Systems migrations (Flexcube, T24, Equation), merging, processes optimizations, etc. – maintaining good working environments and a path to performance.

Florin is a results-driven and commercially focused, combining expertise in delivering new technologies across a range of business functionalities, preparing and managing proactive IT strategies in line with the business objectives.

He is graduated in Computer Science Faculty – “POLITEHNICA” University BUCHAREST as well as Marketing & Management for Business – and is certified for Information Security Management Systems auditing according to ISO/IEC 17799:2000 and BS 7799-2:2002 issued by RWTUV Germany.
